The London Aquarium
Walking beside the river, it’s easy to get swept away with all the attractions on offer. The bold and the bright work that stretch of pavement all day long, drawing visitors into their premises. As competitive areas go, this unassuming little stretch is one of the fiercest. If you didn’t know about it, you could easily miss the London Aquarium. Hidden inside one of the buildings and not especially attractive to the eye at first glance, many tourists wander straight past without even realising it’s there.
Which is a bit of a travesty really. After all, it’s one of the capital’s most accessible attractions and one that’s sure to delight people of all ages. Children can appreciate the joy of discovery and the exotic, starring in rapt awe as sharks and dolphins zip by just metres in front of their faces. Adults can enjoy the calming atmosphere of the subterranean ocean, whilst picking up on some of the more interesting exhibits.
Prices are also reasonable for the area, and you could easily spend an entire afternoon here without so much as a care in the world. The depth and quality of the exhibits and sea life on offer here is second to none, and especially incredible given how central it is. They make the most of their limited space and all in all, it’s just an unmissable attraction.
