Westfield Stratford City
Westfield Stratford City is something of a cinderella story. Built as the centre of a East London renaissance, it sprung up from the barren lands in 2012 as part of the Olympic games. Since then, it’s enjoyed continued popularity and gone on to establish itself as so much more than just a flash in the pan. In fact, many now consider it to be one of the city’s must see attractions.
As one of the capital’s best shopping destinations, Westfield Stratford City is a mecca for those that worship at the altar of retail. Including everything from common high street brands to luxury boutiques such as Liberty, it offers the capital’s most comprehensive shopping experience to thousands of people each day.
The crowds are generally very manageable, but we would advise avoiding this location on the weekends as it tends to get busy. If you’re able to go during the day, the earlier the better. Get there at 8am on a Tuesday for example, and you’ll be able to shop without the hordes.
Getting there is easy, thanks to integrated rail and tube links. These lead directly into the centre itself, and give it an unrivalled level of access to the public. Buses also run frequently too and from Stratford, with increased services on weekends. Finally, special coaches are available for those wanting to come from outside the capital or from the other side of the city.
